There are numerous travel companies and travel agents that you can contact to request travel packages.

Do you compare travel packages for customers all around the world in addition to Indian users only?
We do serve all of our clients internationally; as an example, if you are in the United States and have a travel package from a regional agency, you can compare it to ours.
How much is the TripRupee fee for comparing quotes?

TripRupee charges a small fee to compare trip quotes and see if they can help you save money. This fee depends on how much the whole package costs, but it is not much. If you are among the first 5,000 customers, the fee to compare trip quotes will be free.

When will clients receive the rate card for the trip quote comparison?
You need to pay TripRupee's fee and the travel partner's fee to see the rate cards. However, before seeing the rate card, you can see how much money you saved. Then, you can decide whether to pay or not based on your savings.
Do customers have to pay any fees for a quote comparison for their trip?
No charge from client unless they save money with TripRupee. TripRupee shows how much money was saved after comparing prices. If client is happy with prices, they can choose to pay fee. Otherwise, they can say no.
What do high-level numbers mean?

A high-level number is the overall price summary which shows how much money clients saved and other crucial detail. For example, suppose a client named Mr. Jack receives a trip quote from a travel company called XYZ Holidays for INR 80,000. A high-level summary after comparing trip quotes would include the following details:

  • Quote Value from XYZ Holidays: INR 80,000
  • Price after Quote Comparison of XYZ Holidays: INR 60,000
  • Calculation Logic: INR 80,000 - INR 60,000 = INR 20,000
  • Money Saved: INR 20,000"
What does the rate card show?
The rate card shows a detailed breakdown of high-level numbers, segmented rates for each aspect of the client's trip, travel agent risk ratings, and helpful tips and observations. Please refer to the 'Sample Rate Card' section under the homepage menu to check some examples of the rate cards.
Who does TripRupee work with?
In the last 8 years, TripRupee has only onboarded 25 trusted travel partners across the globe because most of the companies were not able to comply with TripRupee's stringent quality checks. To avoid a direct connection between clients and trusted partners, information is only revealed to consumers once they make the first payment.
How long does it take for TripRupee to compare trip prices and give an estimate?

If clients provide all the information we need at the beginning, we will give them high level numbers within 4-24 business hours.

How many trip quotes can a customer compare?
We want to help real travelers and not people who don't really want to go anywhere. Comparing prices takes a lot of time, so each client can only compare two trip quotes per month. Once they have compared those two, they can compare more if they need to.
Who do clients pay to book the trip?

You pay TripRupee for the first payment, which includes their quote comparison and trusted partner fees. Then, you pay the remaining balance to the trusted partners directly.

If I book through TripRupee, will I have to pay additional fees to their partner?
No, TripRupee's partners cannot charge extra after TripRupee has confirmed the trip price.
How much will TripRupee's partners charge?

It depends on how early you book and how our partners handle payments.

  • If you book more than 45 days in advance, most partners take 25% for the package and 100% for flights.
  • For bookings made 29-44 days before, it's usually 50% for the package and 100% for flights.
  • For bookings made one to 29 days before, it's 100% for both the package and flights.
Do I have to book flight tickets from TripRupee's approved partners?
No, clients can choose to book their own plane tickets if they want to.
Is TripRupee’s quote comparison fee and trusted partners first payment refundable?

No, both the amount gets forfeited if you decide not to book with trusted partner because of any reasons.

Do clients have the option to freeze prices with TripRupee's trusted partners, given the fact that consumers have 24 hours to make payment and there is a high possibility that hotels and flights may get sold out?

Excellent question, TripRupee never overcommits to consumers. The travel industry has a volatile nature. For example, flight fares are dynamic and increase or decrease over time. Hotel room inventory gets sold out quickly during peak seasons and visa appointment slots may be subject to delays, among other factors. We request that clients make quick payments to trusted partners to avoid discomfort. The sooner payments are made, the better the possibilities we have of cutting these risks. TripRupee conducts strict sanity checks before payments are made and takes the following steps:

  • Rechecks flight fares and airline availability
  • Rechecks hotel availability
  • Rechecks visa appointments
  • Gives early warning regarding possible airfare hikes for bookings that include flights, using our own GDS to forecast airline prices
  • Our partners are given the option to hold airline PNR, prices, and seats, with most airlines allowing this facility in their GDS.
  • If seats can be held, TripRupee’s partners can hold flights with a price lock assurance.
  • If booking well in advance, TripRupee’s partners have agreed to book hotels if there are price and room availability lock options available, cutting the possibility of hotels getting sold out
  • In the event of flight fares abruptly skyrocketing and consumers not having the budget for it, TripRupee will refund quote comparison fees and travel partner fees.
  • These situations are handled on a case-by-case basis as TripRupee evaluates the genuineness of the cases and supports clients with refunds
  • It is an exception to our non-refundable payment policies, and consumers should not intentionally misuse this flexibility
